CHIROPRACTIC

Our primary treatment procedure at Revive Chiropractic. Dr. Blake and Dr. McCay each have their own unique skills equipped to help decrease patient pain via mobilization of joints. Joint mobilization decreases inflammation in the joint and surrounding nerves and tissues. All patients are treated uniquely with a variety of techniques. Each technique utilized is vastly different. We also offer a combination of equipment and hands on techniques with Thompson drop tables and Cox Flexion Distraction.

FUNCTIONAL DRY NEEDLING

Functional Dry Needling is to restore function between brain and muscle to regain proper biomechanics. Improvements are notices in muscle strength and joint function. Functional Dry Needling is great for muscle and joint pain, frozen shoulder, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel, Golfer’s elbow, Tennis elbow, tendinitis, and many other muscle/tendon/joint issues.

SCRAPING

This technique is utilized in patients with myofascial pain, which is the layer between the skin and muscle that can restrict blood flow, causing pain. The technique is used to promote healing to the fascial layer of tissue by reducing muscle pain and restoring proper tissue tone.

CUPPING

A process of using something similar to a suction cup to promote blood flow to the muscle and surrounding joints via decreased pressure on the treated tissue. The idea is to decrease tension between layers of skin and muscle to promote blood flow to areas that are damaged, causing pain.

ACTIVE RELEASE TECHNIQUE (ART)

A manual therapy, similar to massage. This technique is great for muscle pain and fatigue. The process includes shortening a muscle, pinning the muscle, then elongating that muscle, which then promotes blood flow. This technique is utilized in almost every region of the body. Most commonly, this is used for tension headaches, tendinitis, stiff joints, shoulder pain, and rib discomfort.

ELECTRICAL STIMULATION

Electricity is the name of the game with this technique. Using electrical stimulating pads over the affected area, electricity is directed through the joint space and soft tissue to decrease inflammation and reduce soreness. Many times, this is utilized in patients with muscle spasms or soreness in the joints and muscles before or after adjustments.
